Speed Scrap Feb 18 2010

I hate it when I miss a good speed scrap, but I have this one on my calendar now. And to help others find the fun, thought I'd post it here!

A speed scrap on Thursday, February (Feb) 18, 2010 at godigitalscrapbooking.com with Dancing Princess Designs

ST IX Round 2!

Here is my layout for Round 2 of the Supreme Team contest at godigitalscrapbooking.com. A lovely kit full of all the doodles you could ever want - Dipsy Doodles. A collab between Dancing Princess Designs and Dylabel!

Playing in the Woods

And my second two layouts made with Playing in the Woods by Kris Myers.

Here are my first two layouts done for the k2kreativekrew!

These are done with the kit called Moonberry by KariQ
It has been a very sad time in the scrapbooking world as Jenn has announced her retirement, which we're all hoping will be just temporary. :) But we all understand that family needs come first and respect that decision. I'll sure miss all the wonderful goodies that come out of her mind for our srapping delight!! But I look forward to learning from her natural design abilities as she creates more layouts, too!!

I was feeling homeless after the announcement, so I scouted some sites and found several CT and one-kit calls that have helped fill the void. I found a nice group of people and two sisters that are building their team - Kris Myers and KariQ - and I am looking forward to working with them. Having two designers for one team means lots of versatility! I'm still getting my feet wet, but hope to carve a niche for myself. Depends on if they like my dogs - lol.

Here is my entry for Round 1 of the Supreme Team contest. I was down with the flu and didn't think I'd make it, but after a pep talk from Jenn, I pulled it together and commemorated this helpful face in a layout for the challenge. I made it to Round 2!!

Supreme Team IX Contest

It's time for the new Supreme Team contest at godigitalscrapbooking.com. They have 4 rounds and then choose their team. I made it through three rounds each time, and have my fingers crossed to show some improvement this time around. Here is the awesome kit we'll be working with first. I have so many ideas flying through my head. But those I really want to do include a lot of scanning and extraction and I don't have time for it with it being tax season :( But I'll likely use this kit to do it when things slow down. At any rate, I don't think any layout could look bad with this awesome kit - Sew Chic by Tricia Curtis!
I was taking a trip through some scrapbooking sites and ran across this kit that looks like it will be so versatile for exactly what it's titled - Everyday Happenings! Inspired by the name, I have found my happy medium -- unable to do the whole 365 thing, I'm settling for a monthly recap. The stickers in the kit with the names of the month gave me the idea! Check out this collab by Misty O'Brien and Spinky Dink Scraps which can be found at GingerScraps.net.

And here are the beginnings of my new resolution!
